MRI Site Planning, Installation and Deinstallation

We believe that a professional deinstallation / reinstallation is the key to the successful sale of a second generation imaging system. Starting with our 20 years of experience working with resistive and supercon MRI systems, we put together a program that provides the same standards and attention to detail that OEMs use on new system installations. If done properly, a potential buyer can have as much information post-removal as if they were able to perform a working on-site inspection. To provide that level of detail and customer comfort, we follow the guidelines below for all of our deinstall projects.

  • Plan ahead with an on-site inspection visit
  • Meet with hospital/ clinic admin people and moving contractors
  • Provide OEM lift and moving specs to the riggers and shippers
  • Coordinate removal access routes and crane lift plans as necessary
  • Inventory and evaluate the current system status, gather QA data from service group
  • Confirm the schedule and outline each party's responsibilities
  • Order and drop ship all necessary packing supplies to the site
  • Clean, inventory, wrap, pack and label each item per a pre-determined packing plan
  • Consolidate items on pallets to minimize handling and potential for loss
  • Document packed system
  • Supervise removal rigging and loading
  • Clean up site to the pre-agreed upon condition with customer
  • Provide a full report to the customer with online access

Supervised system storage is available in our warehouse in Atlanta. Your system will be stored intact and segregated from other inventory and will be made available for inspection by potential buyers on request. Systems with cold magnets will be provided with a chilled water source and both coldhead operation and magnet helium levels will be continuously monitored.

System reinstallation follows published OEM installation instructions with the same attention to detail. Professional site planning with CAD services are available. We have the capability to provide a full turn-key Philips MRI installation including magnet shim and eddy-current adjustments to OEM specifications.
